MY MATERNAL GRANDPARENTS, FANNIE (RUTHERFORD) AND CURTIS GREENWOOD, WITH THEIR CHILDREN, CURTIS, JR., CHRISTINA, AND ARABELLA (MY MOTHER).

MY PARENTS, ARABELLA (GREENWOOD) AND FLETCHER LINTON.

When my children were toddlers, their great-grandmother and grandmother initially were Big Bama and Little Bama and I was Mommy. Along the way, they dropped the Bamas and I became Muv. In 1994, Evans (Skip) sent the following writing to LITTLE and me.

Realizing that all humans are works in progress, never completed, we have to go BACK to figure out what foundations are strong enough to take all that this life can offer.

My siblings and I can vividly remember the commanding strength of character, stern convictions, and steady hand of discipline of BIG.

LITTLE's love and caring were so quiet that they were assuring whispers-imagine someone whispering I love you in your ear everyday of your life.

MUV's guidance and role-modeling added needed elements to the construction of these four buildings. All have something creative in them, but for us to see what can be done first-hand only serves to bring out and enhance.

KIM, EVANS, WAYNE and DARRYL will never be fully constructed in this life, but, always tearing down and adding on to a solid foundation.

The bricks (SOLID, STRONG, STEADY) were laid by BIG, lovingly cemented (SMOOTH, BONDING) by LITTLE, and creatively reinforced (STRENGTHENED) by MUV.

MUV's essence combines strength, solidity, determination, and creativity. Through her, her children learn:

With BIG laid foundations, LITTLE cemented walls, and MUV reinforced buildings, there are four architectural wonders in progress!!!!

Muv's note: The photos show when there were ONE LITTLE (Christmas "cowgirl"-1958), TWO LITTLE (Easter-1960), THREE LITTLE (Easter-1963), FOUR LITTLE (after Darryl was ringbearer in the Deanna Ellington/Allen Cheek wedding-1969) WONDERS. I am honored to have been blessed with becoming the mother of one loving, confident woman and three nurturing, caring men who forever make my heart sing!
